One popular event around the Main Line is our annual Holiday Market. Many residents in our community look forward to stopping by the shop during the holidays each year to find beautiful gifts for friends and family and to buy a Christmas tree or other holiday swag. Children also have fun at our shop thanks to family-friendly events such as face-painting and visits from Santa Claus and his reindeer. The holiday market also features various local food trucks and complimentary beer and wine for adults 21 and over. One of our favorite fun holiday things to do this season is see all the festivals with holiday decorations, including twinkling lights, model trains, and more. Main Line residents can visit these festivals with their families to see stunning light displays of holiday spirit.

Some festivals are in the Main Line area, with some that you and your family can drive through in countryside farms. Others are in the hearts of southeastern Pennsylvania urban centers. So take a look around, and enjoy all of the beautiful colored lights.

Garden & Tree Festivals

Another one of the fun holiday things to do with your family this season is take a stroll through gardens to see beautiful plants with festive holiday decorations. Longwood Gardens is hosting its annual lighted tree festival through January 9, 2022. Take a walk through the gardens, to see the gorgeous plants, intricate decorations, and enjoy live holiday music outdoors.

You can also take a trip to Philadelphia to see other magnificent displays of trees and plants, such as the West Chester Griswold’s or the Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular at the Great Philadelphia Expo Center.

A great way to celebrate the holidays in Main Line is to see some artwork by the area’s most talented artists. The Main Line Art Center has an exhibition running from November 6 to December 18, 2021. In addition, Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens will also be hosting a mixed media exhibit until December 15. Both of these exhibits will highlight art in various styles and themes.
